About the painting

Within a sea of stripes is a swirl which is You. And the ripple that you create effects everything around you. In the sea of stripes, different widths represent people of different views and mindset. The two swirls show two of your moods-happy and sad.

Starting with the happy you, that is the bigger swirl:

-The direction of the swirl is anti-clockwise. In physics and in the universe, anything that is anticlockwise is positive. Since the happy aura is positive, the swirl is in anticlockwise direction.

-The pattern on the ripple is uniform. Characteristic of a happy state.

-The white patch on the outer most ripple is in sync with the white stripe near it. When you are in a cheerful mood, you tend to make people around you happy with your gestures and aura. You feel you are in sync with everything that's happening around.

The sad you, the smaller swirl:

-The direction of the swirl is clockwise. It shows the negative direction.

-The pattern on the ripple is chaotic. Shows your disturbed mind when you are feeling down.

-The contrasting black and white, ripple and stripe combination. It gives the feel of distress. It appears as though it is trying to shell away from the society. When you are lonely, you don't feel like talking to people or even being around people. You get annoyed and cranky for the tiniest reason. This is exactly what the smaller swirl is reflecting.
